Head-on collision. Five people sent to the hospital. Two were children. Foggy morning so LifeStar wasn't flying.
Ice on the road. Two person fatal. Van driver not injured. The second picture is not distorted.
This van is at the bottom of a 20 foot embankment. The driver fell asleep, went off the road and got airborne. Transported to the hospital by LifeStar helicopter. Pictures were taken at night.
This car is on the wrong side of the road. It's hanging on the edge of that 20 foot drop where that van above went over. Drinking was involved.
Slick road conditions. Where's the door? We cut it off to get the driver out.
Rollover. Drinking was involved. Driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Driver lost control on wet road. Transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Rear-ended by a tractor trailer. Car pushed into the other traffic lane. Fortunately, no traffic was coming. Both doors wouldn't open so the driver and passenger climbed out the passenger side window. No injuries though one was transported as a precaution.
Another rear-ender. And again, the car was pushed into the other lane. And again, no traffic was coming. This time the car went up an embankment, flipped over, and landed on the guard rail. Driver transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Head-on. The dark colored car crossed into the lane of the other car. Driver of the dark car transported with minor injuries. Driver and passenger of other car transported to Level 1 trauma center. Driver underwent prolonged extrication due to the significant intrusion of the driver compartment. Driver was not wearing a seatbelt and had multisystem trauma. LifeStar was not flying because of weather conditions.
Rollover. Guess why? No injuries.
Mutual aid to Columbia. The black car crossed the line into the van. Jersey barriers on both sides of the road (in the breakdown lanes) kept the van driver from avoiding this. LifeStar was not flying due to weather. 5 people taken to the hospital, 1 serious. Prolonged extrication on both vehicles.
This guy hit a truck.
Double fatal. But a very lucky family of four (van) was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Red car crossed into oncoming traffic, hit the black car and then hit the white car. Unrestrained infant in red car critically injured. Driver and another passenger seriously injured. Driver of black car seriously injured. Driver and passenger in white car treated for minor injuries. LifeStar was not available. Note the inside of the black car. No intrusion.
Fatal. Car was t-boned. No cause at this time.
Head on. Driver is the badly damaged car transferred to hospital via LifeStar with serious injuries.
Black ice. Truck hit a ledge wall. Minor injuries.
Near head-on. Pickup truck driver not injured. Car driver transferred to hospital via LifeStar with serious injuries.
Reckless driving. Driver was out walking around. Passenger transferred to hospital via LifeStar with serious injuries.
How did this happen? We don't know. Driver wasn't injured.

Small car crossed into oncoming traffic and hit the van head on. Driver of small car transported to hospital via LifeStar. Pronounced dead at hospital. Driver and two passengers of van transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Two show dogs in van were uninjured and cared for by neighbor near the scene. SUV went off the road, hit a big rock wall and bounched off a utility pole. Driver and one passenger self-extricated and were transported to hospital via ambulance. Second passenger removed by FD and was transported to hospital via LifeStar. Thanks to Columbia FD for the help.
